One thing I've noticed that has remained consistent is when seeking help and being open to learning through different avenues other than lecture, tutoring with knowledgeable and personable people always provide some sort progression. I've always enjoyed being able to help tutor primarily for the benefit of the student and the reward of seeing them succeed at something that once puzzled them.
